Round banquet: 1.5–2 m²/person. Theatre / conference: 1–1.2 m²/person. Standing cocktail: 0.8–1 m²/person.
Add 15–25% margin for circulation and contingencies.
Sizing the stage
4-person panel: roughly 6 × 3 m minimum. Keynote with screen: 8 × 4 m or more depending on décor.
Plan side access and cable runs from FOH.
Aisles and exits
Main aisles ≥ 1.2 m, emergency exits clear and signed.
Floor plans must respect clearances required by venue or structure provider.

What area for 150 guests at banquet?
Allow roughly 200–230 m² for tables and aisles, plus 30–50 m² for stage and tech depending on programme.
Does tent height matter?
Yes for acoustics, rigged lighting, HVAC and visuals. Insufficient clear height limits staging options.
Should technical areas be separate?
Yes: sound desk, caterer kitchen, storage and staff access. Keep these away from guest flow.
